We are exploring the option of offering “Do It Yourself Hunts” on private land in a nearby county. These will be unguided hunts only. Lodging will be provided in a very nice, three bedroom log cabin with full kitchen facilities. Food will NOT be provided with this package. There are numerous dine in as well as fast food restaurants for those who prefer not to cook.
Hunting license will NOT be provided with these packages.
You will hunt large, private corn fields, a short 30 minute or less drive from the cabin. Several ladder stands will already be erected for your convenience in each of the woodlots adjoining these corn fields. Skinning facilities where you can skin and quarter your deer are provided.
The beautiful cabin has 3 bedrooms with 5 separate beds. It sleeps 5 to 7 persons easily. If you have a non hunting family member such as your wife accompanying you, you will be assigned a separate bedroom with a queen bed. We have two of these bedrooms available. This is on a “First Come First Served” Basis Only. Please notify us during the booking process if you have a non non hunting person such as a wife who will be accompanying you.
Maps of the property, signed landowner permission slips along with GPS stand locations will be provided showing designated parking spots and avenues of ingress and egress to each property. You are free to bring your own lock on stands and climbing sticks if you choose. You will be responsible for transporting yourself and your gear to and from the hunting area. You MUST wear a safety belt at all times while on stand or while erecting your own stands !
You will be responsible for remaining on the assigned property and abiding by all Indiana laws and hunting regulations including those laws and regulations governing trespass on different properties. We highly recommend each hunter download a hunting app capable of tracking your position and alerting you before crossing any property lines. There are several available. We are not responsible if you cross property lines without landowner permission.
On each “Do It Yourself Hunt” you will arrive on a Friday and start hunting the following day. You will be expected to provide your own food and your own hunting license. There are several sit down restaurants as well as fast food restaurants a short distance away.
The cost of these packages is currently anticipated to be $999.00 per hunter with a $300.00 deposit per hunter required to book. If you are interested please call or text Gerald at 256-566-7021 for additional information or any questions you might have.
